We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic After School Club Assistant to join our friendly and welcoming team at Kennington CE Academy.

The successful candidate must be committed to supporting and nurturing the pupils in line with our school values. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm and energy who is flexible and adaptable and has the ability to use their own initiative.

Key duties will include:

  • Planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities and experiences to support pupils’ development
  • Offering of educational instruction where needed to help pupils to share equipment
  • Supervising pupils during activities and help to resolve issues between pupils
  • Monitoring of pupils that aren’t engaging in play and feedback any concerns to class teachers
  • Assist with the stock of resources necessary to carry out planned activities
  • Setting up and clearing away of tables and chairs
  • Preparing and serving healthy snacks

This is a permanent contract Monday to Friday 2:45pm-6pm (16.15 hours per week)

Actual salary approx. £9184 (£24735 FTE)

Kennington CE Academy is 3 form entry (12 classes) for Key stage 2 of 360 pupils, situated in North Ashford and serving a mixed community of children who are enthusiastic about learning and their school.

We have strong relationships with our feeder Infant school, Downs View and The Towers, our nearest high school. Our church school status has led us to develop close links with the local parish church. We are sponsored by Aquila, the Diocese of Canterbury Academies Trust (www.aquilatrust.co.uk)
