Are you looking for the next step in your career progression and an opportunity to lead a truly exceptional Nursery?

Spring Grove School is looking for an Early Years practitioner to take over the leadership of the school’s Nursery from the current outstanding Head of Early Years. Working alongside the whole-school community, we are looking for somebody with energy, vision and passion for this important role.

Spring Grove Nursery welcomes children from their 2nd birthday, and is one of the top-ranking Nurseries in the area, with a waiting list for places. It is situated within Spring Grove School, an independent Prep school widely known for its family ethos and feel, and many of the Nursery children continue on into Reception class in the school.

The Nursery has its own designated space and beautiful walled garden within the School’s 14-acre site. It operates 50 weeks a year and has two spacious and well-equipped rooms - Teddies for 2–3 year olds, and Giraffes for 3–4 year olds.

The Nursery Manager position will be full time, year round from January 2025, with a generous remuneration package. Alongside the chance to lead a flourishing Nursery in a supportive, forward-thinking school we offer:

  • Company pension scheme
  • Discounted school and nursery fees for the children of staff
  • Relevant training including first aid qualifications
  • Free wraparound childcare before and after school
  • Access to the Benenden Health Scheme following probation
  • Free parking
  • Free lunch

Visit www.springgroveschool.co.uk for further details and our online application form. If you have any questions please call our HR and Compliance Manager, Mrs Emma Pike on 01233 812337 - informal visits to see the Nursery are also very welcome.

Spring Grove School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.

The closing date is 31st October 2025, however we reserve the right to close the advert earlier.
