Tutor, ALP Schools, Pierview Academy

Salary: Grade S2 - S5, £20,097 to £24,056

Location: Gravesend

Three roles available

Contract type: Full Time, Term Time Only

Pierview Academy is experiencing an exciting time as we are growing both in numbers of pupils and in our positive reputation.

Our school provides continuity in learning for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans. We are a short to long term provision for 30 learners who are on the autistic spectrum or who have other special educational needs and challenging behaviour.

We cater for young people aged between 11 and 25. The overarching purpose of our provision is to work with young people so that they are able to overcome the barriers to learning that they have previously encountered. We aim to offer flexible, structured and supportive needs led approaches with the goal of working towards re-integration progression to a long term educational setting or into employment, education and training. In order to achieve this, we offer part time or full time education according to the assessment of the pupil's needs.

We are looking for three Tutors who have enthusiasm and passion for working with this challenging area of special educational needs.

The post holders will actively promote the curriculum policy by tutoring a range of subjects. The post holders will tutor subjects from our Foundation Learning range and help to progress learners to ensure they are achieving their full potential.

Interested candidates are requested to apply online for this post. To download the candidates’ pack and to apply - please visit www.alpschools.org
