We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team, for 4 days a week, 8:30am – 3:30pm (26 hrs/wk), term time only. This role involves working closely with Year 6 pupils in the mornings to support teaching and learning, and providing additional support across Key Stage 2 in the afternoons. The role also includes some lunchtime supervision duties. This is a fixed term role until the end of August 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teaching and learning activities in Year 6 during morning sessions
  • Assist across KS2 classes during afternoon sessions to enhance pupil engagement and progress
  • Provide effective support during lunchtime supervision to ensure pupil safety and wellbeing
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to deliver tailored support to pupils
  • Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience working with primary-aged children, preferably within Key Stage 2
  • Ability to support teaching and learning activities effectively
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with staff and pupils
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
