Fortis Trust is seeking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate teacher to join our Maple Community at Bradfields Academy. This rare opportunity has arisen due to the retirement of the current post holder.

The Maple Community is one of our specialist complex needs provisions, designed to meet the needs of students with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The students in Maple mainly follow a personalised, highly differentiated approach to learning, with a consistent teacher and set of support staff.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic professional with strong SEN knowledge and the ability to inspire students with complex learning profiles. This position would suit either a primary or secondary practitioner with the passion and flexibility to deliver a broad, creative curriculum that supports communication, independence, and wellbeing.

 

The successful applicant will:

  • Have a clear understanding of effective SEN pedagogy, student care, and support.
  • Be able to adapt teaching creatively to meet a diverse range of learning needs.
  • Show vision and commitment in developing meaningful and aspirational learning experiences for complex learners.
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork, communication, and classroom management skills.
