We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, highly organised and friendly School Business Assistant to join our dedicated administrative team. This is a demanding role that requires strong administrative skills. You will be an integral part of the school's daily operations, providing efficient administrative and financial support to the School Business Manager and Headteacher and wider school staff. 

Main duties and responsibilities: 

  • Assist with the school's financial processes, including processing and placing purchase orders.
  • Maintaining the school’s policy schedule, ensuring all policies are up to date and follow statutory guidance where necessary.
  • Administration of recruitment processes.
  • Organisation and booking of school visits.
  • Support the administrative team with ad-hoc duties and provide cover during staff absences.
  • Data Protection Administrator for the school. 

The successful candidate will have: 

  • Proven experience of working in a busy admin or office role, preferably in a school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with all members of the school community.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload, prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.
  • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to act with tact, discretion and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience of SIMS is preferred.
  • An understanding of Data Protection and GDPR.
