We are seeking to appoint Midday Supervisors at Vale View Primary School who are friendly, flexible and approachable to join our hardworking and collaborative team to support in the dining room, nursery and on the playground. The ability to communicate effectively with children, assist their personal needs in relation to dietary wellbeing and the ability to maintain their safety is essential. 

The role will require you to be flexible in working across all age groups and will include supervision of lunch in the nursery with children age 2 upwards, as well as in the main dining room. 

 

10 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 11:30am-1:30pm on a term time only basis (38 weeks per year).

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Enjoy engaging with pupils during playtime, fostering a secure and inclusive play environment.
  • Have good communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team;
  • Be supportive and nurturing, with a kind and patient demeanour
  • Have experience of working with children, although not essential

 

Job Description:

  • Follow the school’s policies and procedures to record and report incidents, accidents and safeguarding concerns
  • Observe and apply the school’s health and safety policy in the supervision of pupils, use of equipment and reporting of health and safety concerns
  • Understand the importance of the schools allergens procedures and adhere to them
  • Assist in preparation of dining room before and between lunch sittings
  • Supervise and support pupils in the dining room and nursery
  • Observe and apply the school’s behaviour policy and behaviour/reward system
  • Be aware of and model the school values
  • Establish good relationships and interact positively with children
  • To adhere to the staff code of conduct

It is a primary school only Trust, based in Dover, Kent, comprising of Vale View, Priory Fields and St Martins.
