About the Role:

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant who is passionate about children's learning, has a positive attitude and is able to fit in with our hardworking staff team to nurture, target and enable all of our children to thrive.

We are looking for:

  • Have high positive expectations of teaching and learning
  • To be confident to cover whole class teaching and PPA
  • HLTA qualification is desirable but not essential
  • Able to use own initiative and work as part of a hardworking team
  • Work closely with teachers in delivering work to individuals/small groups, reporting back on progress and pupil achievement daily

Working hours would be between 8:30am and 3:30pm, five days per week during term time only, one hour for lunch - 30 hours per week.

The strong Catholic ethos of the school is evident and prospective candidates would be expected to support and promote this.

St Thomas More Catholic Primary School is a Voluntary Aided , two form entry mixed Catholic Primary School with 420 pupils aged between 4-11 years old.

Our school is linked to our Parish Church, St Simon Stock, in Walderslade, Chatham, Kent currently under the guidance of our Parish Priest, Father Joseph.
