STUDENT SUPPORT MANAGER

37 hours per week (term time only plus staff development days)

Kent Scheme E: £25,901 - £26,135 pa (pro rata to full time equivalent £29,716 pa)

We are looking for an experienced Student Support Manager to work as part of a team to provide outstanding pastoral support to our students across years 7-13.  You will work closely with a Director of Learning and be able to establish a rapport with students and foster positive relationships as well as be able to demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding issues.

Along with enthusiasm you will need excellent interpersonal skills as you will work directly with students, parents/carers, staff and external agencies to best meet wellbeing, safeguarding and academic needs.   In addition, you should be a strong administrator so that written communications and record keeping around student monitoring and support are accurate.  You should be first aid trained or willing to train and you will also act as a Designated Safeguarding Lead for which training can be given.

Highworth Grammar School is an over-subscribed 11 – 18, selective Girls’ school of 1545 students with 453 students in the sixth form (90 boys).  We are situated in the South East of England, with excellent transport links to both the rest of Kent and London.
