Leigh Academy Strood has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Student Services Manager to join us as soon as possible. Our successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills whilst managing a variety of tasks, will be very personable and approachable, and will have the ability to build good working relationships with our students. On a daily basis, you'll be in contact with students, various members of staff, parents and external agencies - this is a busy and fast-paced role so we'd love to hear from candidates who are keen to be part of our collaborative and supportive environment. It is essential that our successful candidate has previous pastoral experience.

A background in positive behaviour management, experience in using restorative justice practice and an understanding of external agencies and the local authority fair access panel would be desirable but not essential. We are also looking for individuals who have knowledge and understanding of working with disadvantaged pupils.

This is a permanent position offering an actual salary of £22,256 - £27,456 per annum (£25,989 - £32,061 full time equivalent), based on experience and based on 37 hours per week, Term Time + 1-week inset.

Working for Leigh Academy Strood: Since opening in 2009, our academy has transformed the educational opportunities and outcomes for girls and boys in Strood. The improvement in academic performance has been driven by a talented and committed workforce, the hard work of our students, and support from parents and our community. Our new buildings in Carnation Road were designed in partnership with Nicholas Hare and built by BAM as our main contractor at a cost of £26m. They opened in September 2012 and have outstanding learning environments and outside play areas as well as fantastic sports facilities. The buildings reflect our educational vision of creating a mature and purposeful educational environment where children of all abilities can learn and thrive.
