New Line Learning Academy is seeking a passionate and forward-thinking Head of Business and Digital Literacy to lead a popular and high-performing department. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious educator to shape the future of Business Studies and champion the development of essential digital skills across the curriculum.

About the Role

This leadership role is open to growth, but currently spans both:

Key Stage 3 Digital Literacy, supporting students to become confident, safe, and skilled users of technology.

Key Stage 4 Business Studies, with a particular focus currently on delivering NCFE qualifications that prepare learners for further education and the world of work.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading curriculum design and delivery in both Business and Digital Literacy
  • Raising achievement and improving outcomes across both subject areas
  • Quality assurance of teaching, learning and assessment
  • Driving innovation in digital teaching strategies
  • Managing departmental data, reviews and intervention planning
  • Supporting and inspiring colleagues within the vocational faculty

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS
  • Has recent and relevant teaching experience
  • Can teach confidently across KS3 and KS4
  • Brings enthusiasm for Business Studies and Digital Literacy
  • Can lead and model excellence in the classroom
  • Can use data and evaluation to improve outcomes
  • Is committed to inclusive, engaging and future-focused education

This role is ideal for:

  • A current subject leader looking to broaden their leadership experience
  • A teacher with expertise in Business and ICT/digital skills ready to step into a strategic position
