Are you calm, reliable and committed to making a difference in the lives of young people with Autism?

Blue Skies School is seeking a dedicated and proactive Full Time Teaching Assistant and Driver to join our team from October 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a nurturing and highly structured educational setting that values consistency and care.

We are an independent special secondary school for pupils with Autism. Our school offers a supportive, respectful and aspirational environment where pupils are encouraged to grow in confidence, independence and self-belief.

About the Role

You will work five days a week supporting our pupils in class under the direction of teaching staff. In addition to your classroom responsibilities, you will also support the day-to-day transport needs of the school, driving pupils safely to and from school and on educational outings using our school vehicles.

This dual role offers the perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys both pupil-facing classroom support and being out on the road.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children or young people

  • Is calm, consistent and positive in their approach

  • Holds a full UK Manual Driving Licence and would be confident driving a small nine-seater vehicle

  • Is reliable, organised and professional

  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing at all times

We offer:

  • A strong, stable and welcoming team environment

  • A meaningful and rewarding role where every day counts

  • Ongoing training and support

  • A chance to make a real impact on the lives of young people with Autism

If you are motivated by the opportunity to support pupils who thrive on structure, clarity and genuine care, we would love to hear from you.

For further information or to arrange a visit, please contact the school office. Early applications are encouraged as we reserve the right to interview and appoint before the closing date. An earlier start date may also be available for the right candidate.
