Are you a warm, organised and proactive individual with a passion for supporting children and families? Greatstone Primary School, part of the Lightyear Federation, is looking for a Nursery & School Administrator to join our friendly and dynamic team.

This vital role is the heartbeat of our school office — the first face visitors see and the first voice many of our families hear. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our administrative processes run smoothly, and that our children and their families feel welcomed and supported every day.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be the welcoming first point of contact for parents, carers and visitors.

  • Maintain accurate pupil and nursery records using Arbor, including health plans and census data.

  • Coordinate communications across the school and nursery using Arbor and Class Dojo.

  • Manage content on the school website and Facebook page to ensure it’s current and compliant.

  • Support with admissions, including maintaining waiting lists, issuing correspondence and arranging parent meetings.

  • Help organise school trips, events, clubs and extended care programmes, ensuring safeguarding and parental consent are in place.

  • Provide key administrative support to the Business Director and Leadership Team.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A highly organised and efficient administrator with a friendly and professional manner.

  • Excellent communication and IT skills.

  • Experience with school management systems (e.g. Arbor) is an advantage, but training will be provided.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

  • The ability to prioritise, multitask and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Why Join Greatstone?

Greatstone Primary School is a nurturing, inclusive and forward-thinking school where every member of staff plays a valued role in helping our children thrive. As part of the Lightyear Federation, you’ll also benefit from working with a wider team of professionals across our schools.
