West Borough Primary School is a vibrant and inclusive school community, dedicated to providing a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for our children. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed After-School Club Supervisor to join our team for a maternity cover position. The role involves leading a team of staff to deliver high-quality care and activities for children aged 4-11 years old after school hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage children in a range of activities, both indoors and outdoors.

  • Ensure children’s safety and well-being at all times.

  • Organize fun and stimulating activities

  • Manage and lead a small team of after-school club assistants

  • Ensure that the after-school club operates in line with health and safety guidelines and the school’s policies.

  • Maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment for children of all backgrounds and abilities.

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience of working with children (preferably in an after-school or childcare setting).

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage and engage a group of children effectively.

  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

  • A caring, patient, and positive attitude.

  • Level 3 full and relevant qualification

Desirable Criteria

  • First aid qualification (or willingness to undertake training).

Hours: 2.30pm-6.15pm Monday - Friday (Term time only)

Information about the school

We are very proud of our wonderful school which was judged as good with outstanding features. Our most recent Ofsted inspection was in October 2022.
