CATERING TECHNICIAN REQUIRED FROM SEPTEMBER 2025

Part Time, 39 weeks per year (Monday - Friday, 8.00 a.m. – 1.15 p.m.) – we can be flexible to an extent with these hours which can be discussed.

Term Time only with 5 days to be worked in school breaks to be agreed in advance.

The post of Catering Technician has become available at our all-through school., based mainly at the secondary site  This role will include tasks such as preparing food, serving, clearing tables, washing up and any other associated tasks as directed by the Secondary Catering Manager.  Experience of cooking would be an advantage.

The hours of work are 8.00 a.m. until 1.15 p.m. Monday – Friday and the successful candidate could, at times, be expected to work after school for special events.

A uniform in line with KCC guidance will be provided.

Previous work in a school kitchen is not essential but will be advantageous and you should also have a food hygiene certificate, however, training could be provided if required.

The successful candidate will be hard working, friendly, have good food hygiene standards and be prepared to be an integral part of the Catering Team.
