Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity in a supportive and friendly rural primary school? Mersham Primary School is seeking a motivated Class Teacher for Year 4 to join our team on a maternity cover basis from the start of term 2 until the end of the academic year. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons tailored to the needs of Year 4 pupils
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and a love of learning
  • Assess pupil progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the wider curriculum and school initiatives
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and carers to support each pupil’s wellbeing and achievement
  • Uphold the school’s ethos and contribute positively to the wider school community

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Key Stage 2 pupils, preferably Year 4
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of pupils
  • Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to fostering good behaviour
  • Experience or willingness to engage in continuous professional development (CPD)

  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Committed to promoting the school’s values and ethos
