Hours:                        20 hours per week
Working Pattern:       Monday to Friday, 11:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Are you organised, friendly, and passionate about supporting a school environment? We are seeking a proactive and reliable School Administrator to join our team and provide essential administrative support for our school office.

This is great opportunity to join a school and play a pivotal role in its success and development. The successful candidate must enjoy working in a busy area, and must be confident in providing a professional, welcoming, efficient service, ensuring the smooth running of the school office including all office systems, procedures and processes. The candidate will be able to work flexibly under pressure, use their initiative and prioritise their workload. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking reception duties; act as first point of contact in response to telephone and face-to-face enquiries - Welcoming visitors, parents, and pupils to the school in a welcoming, professional and courteous manner
  • Managing incoming calls, emails, and post
  • Supporting attendance and pupil records
  • Handling general office tasks such as filing, data entry, and record-keeping
  • Assisting staff with administrative support as required
  • Maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding at all times

 To apply for this position, you must:

  • Have previous school administrative experience
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systems
  • Be highly organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Be friendly, approachable, and enjoy working as a team
  • Have knowledge of MIS system ‘Bromcom’ is a plus (training can be provided)
  • Be passionate about supporting children and the community
  • Have the ability to make our pupils feel valued and safe
  • Offer enthusiasm and energy to the role
  • Have excellent IT skills (please state these clearly on your application)
  • Have the ability to communicate well (written, face to face, telephone)

 

Contract Type:           Term-time only
Salary:                         Aquila Pay Level B - Actual Salary £11,332 (FTE £24,796.00)
