We are looking to appoint a 3 day per week, working Monday-Wednesday in our timetable, outstanding Teacher who can inspire and excite students in their learning of RE. You will be joining a well-resourced department that is driven in our focus on raising achievement. RE is a popular option at GCSE and Post-16 and the post offers outstanding opportunities for continuous personal and professional development for a highly motivated and ambitious teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for an ECT or experienced teacher. 

As well as our state-of-the-art facilities, and innovative digital curriculum, we have an exciting programme of trips, visits, visitors and extra-curricular activities.  Cornwallis Academy value positive working relationships and seek individuals who will support this ethos. The successful candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience of teaching RE
  • An excellent teacher who is passionate about learning and has strong subject knowledge
  • Able to maintain a positive growth mindset despite challenges they may face
  • Collaborative, able to build strong professional relationships
  • Able to motivate and inspire students and staff to achieve their full potential
  • Energetic and have a can-do attitude
  • Confident and has strong career aspirations
  • Committed to safeguarding and the happiness and wellbeing of everyone at the Academy
  • Prepared to be involved in leading co-curricular activities either within or outside of their teaching subject
