Key Stage 3 Science Technician

 

Required for September 2025

Part-time 30 hours per week term time plus 6 directed days

8.30am-2.30pm Monday-Friday 

Kent Range C : £25,252-£26,262 per annum pro rata

Equating to £17,858-£18,623 per annum

We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and well-organised individual to join our committed team of Science Technicians. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the delivery of engaging and effective science education at Key Stage 3 within our successful and well-resourced Science Department.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for preparing, organising, and maintaining equipment and materials for practical lessons in Key Stage 3 Science. You will play a vital behind-the-scenes role in ensuring that practical work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, supporting both staff and students in their learning.

Science is a popular and thriving subject at our school, with a large number of students continuing through to A Level across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Your contribution will help lay the essential foundations for this success by ensuring a high-quality practical experience from the start of students’ Science education journey.

This role is ideal for someone with a passion for Science, strong organisational skills, and a commitment to supporting outstanding teaching and learning through practical excellence.

The postholder is required to work for 39 weeks and one day per year. The postholder will receive a payment in respect of their pro rata entitlement to Annual Leave appropriate to their grade, Bank Holidays and the KCC concessionary day which is included in the salary above.
