About the Role

We are looking for a passionate, responsible, and enthusiastic After School Club Supervisor to lead and manage our after school provision. The ideal candidate will create a safe, welcoming, and fun environment where children can relax, play, and learn outside of regular school hours.

This is a Permanant Role, Monday - Friday 2.30pm - 6pm 17.5hours


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage children aged [Ages 4–11 years] during after school hours.

  • Plan and deliver a variety of age-appropriate activities including games, arts and crafts, sports, and quiet time.

  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment at all times.

  • Manage daily operations of the club including staff, registers, snacks, and tidying up.

  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and school staff.

  • Support the emotional and social development of children.

  • Adhere to all safeguarding, health & safety, and school policies and procedures.


Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children in a supervisory or similar role.

  • Enthusiastic, caring, and reliable with excellent communication skills.

  • A strong sense of responsibility and ability to work independently.

  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection (training can be provided).

  • A relevant childcare qualification (Level 2 or above) is desirable but not essential.

  • Safer Recruitment checks will be required including Social Media Checks.

Mereworth Community Primary School is a popular village school situated between Maidstone and Tonbridge. We are a vibrant, single form entry school situated in wonderful grounds which are used extensively to enhance the delivery of the curriculum. The school building is a mixture of Victorian, 1960’s and modern rooms. We have indoor learning zones which includes a library, a music room, computer room and a Design & Technology room. We have extremely supportive parents and governors and wonderfully caring, polite and well behaved children.
