Head of Finance/Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Required for September 2025

 

Salary:  MNS Range 10/11 – depending on experience

 

Are you currently a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with prior experience of working within an academy/school setting or an ambitious Finance Manager looking to step up? The Maplesden Noakes School is looking to employ a full-time Head of Finance/CFO to provide an effective and efficient financial and administrative service through managing the finance team and all aspects of financial management and control, including accounting, records, financial operations and financial management information in accordance with School, DFE (Department for Education) and financial regulations.

 

The successful candidate will work with the Co-Headteachers and the school’s external finance support in all aspects of planning, forecasting and budgeting.

 

Candidates should ideally be educated to degree level and have a relevant accountancy/business management qualification. Experience of working in a financial management role (preferably within the academy sector) in a school environment is essential.

 

Hours are 37 per week 8.00am until 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am until 3.30pm on Friday (inclusive of a 30-minute lunch break). Some hybrid working possible. Enhanced annual leave (20% of which can be taken during term time – subject to line management agreement).

Alongside a current salary of between £40,526.00 and £54,860.00 per annum (which is due for review in September 2025) the school currently contributes 22.5% (between £9,118.00 and £12,343.00 per annum) towards you being a member of the Local Government Pension Scheme.
