he successful candidate will: 

 

  • Work closely with class teachers to support learning for children inside and outside of the classroom 
  • Deliver interventions and adapted curriculum to children who are not currently accessing the mainstream curriculum  
  • Provide specific support in communication, emotion regulation and social skills 
  • Assist individual pupils and small groups with targeted activities 
  • Foster positive relationships that help children feel safe and confident 
  • Support the emotional, social, and academic development of pupils 
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school with a positive, can-do attitude 

 

We are looking for someone who: 

  • Is passionate about supporting children who face barriers to learning 
  • Is patient, kind and fair 
  • Is resilient and supports resilience in children 
  • Is enthusiastic, reliable, and patient 
  • Has good communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Can work flexibly and as part of a team 
  • Ideally has experience working with children with SEND in an educational setting (though training will be provided for the right candidate)
