As a Teaching Assistant at Bethersden Primary School, you will primarily be supporting our children with SEND. This means developing strong working relationships, using a range of strategies to support learning, and working closely with our SENDCO and TA team, to ensure the best outcomes for all of our children. 

You will work as part of the class team in order to support learning, on a contract of 20.5 hours a week Monday - Friday 8.30am - 12:30pm, (Monday, 8am start) term time only. These timings also include 30 minutes of lunchtime supervision.

The contract is fixed term, until August 2026.

Information about the school

We are a small, friendly, village primary school with 118 children taught in 5 classes. Our rural location just off the A28 between Ashford and Tenterden means we serve families from the village and the wider area. We have received a Good grading in our most recent Ofsted inspection (June 2023).

Our large site has extensive grounds, which includes a gardening area and large playing field.

We have a friendly, dedicated staff who work seamlessly together as a team, ensuring our children excel through a focus on quality first teaching and pastoral support.
