We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Girls PE to join our team of exceptional educators. Could that be you?

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving sporting excellence, supporting curriculum achievement, and promoting a positive and inclusive sporting culture within the school.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Teach Physical Education, Games and GCSE Physical Education and Sport and Exercise Science (Level 3 BTEC) to pupils throughout the school to key stage 3, 4 and 5
  • Encourage pupils’ learning and engender an enthusiasm for Sport and Physical Education
  • Set and mark classwork, homework, in-year assessments, end-of-year examinations, entrance examinations and scholarship assessments
  • Fostering a love for sports, fitness and overall well-being.
  • Organise and participate in educational visits
  • Attend some occasions such as concerts, play, matches and other parent/staff social events as required
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive atmosphere where every student feels valued and encouraged to participate.
  • Serving as a positive role model, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork and resilience.

We are looking for someone who has :

  • Degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or related subject (Essential).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching GCSE and/or A-Level/BTEC Sport.
  • High-level coaching experience (ideally with relevant coaching qualifications).
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with BTEC Sport Level 2/3 assessment criteria, First Aid and Safeguarding training is an advantage       
  • Willingness to contribute to other areas of school sport.
  • The ability to teach other subjects.
