At The Inspire Academy Movement Trust, we have invested, with the help of the community, charities and many volunteer hands a community school farm, sitting on half an acre of mixed native woodland and grass.

Our farm is now almost 6 years old and we have grown from strength to strength, in many ways.

We are home to: chickens, guinea pigs, a vast array of chickens including rare breeds, ducks, pygmy goats, 3 breeds of pig, tortoises, 5 hives of bees and many breeds of sheep.

As our animal selection has grown, so has our team. You would be joining a farm assistant, farm educators, as well as a team of volunteers, all overseen by Sara Spellman, the outdoor learning leader, who started the development of the farm and closely oversees its running and development on a daily basis. You will also be accountable to Mrs Tiwana, Head of School.

We are looking for a Full time farm assistant who would be responsible for maintaining high levels of husbandry across all of our animals, teaching, event managing and volunteer management.

The right applicant MUST have high levels of animal husbandry, be a clear communicator, understand the needs of our community school farm, hard working and enjoy working with animals and children.

The role would be 5 days a week, with Fridays and Saturdays as your rest days.  This is a full year position, not a term time only position.  You will be entitled to 27 holiday days across the year, which we ask to be taken within school holidays. This role is fixed term for one year.
