We are a school with high expectations of pupil's achievement and behaviour, ensuring every child achieves their full potential and are looking to appoint an experienced professional, dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant including Midday Meals Supervisor to join our school.

In this important role, you will be working with children across our school, but primarily Key Stage 2.

We are looking for an experienced candidate, who has a good understanding of younger children including children with social, emotional and mental health needs, which will allow you to provide a quality and trusted structured support network to pupils.

To be successful in this role, you will:

Enjoy working with children and be completely motivated by the desire to support them in reaching their full potential

Have previous experience of working with primary school aged children

Can engage effectively and confidentially with pupils/staff and parents

Be able to think creatively when finding solutions and problem solving

An ability to adapt quickly to different situations

Be confident to teach groups of children

Act as a mentor, demonstrating the positive behaviour, language and skills used during the lunchtime period of supervision

Desirable:

To have worked closely with pupils with SEN, giving you an understanding of their needs

To have an understanding of assessments for SEN

This post will be contracted as a FIXED TERM post for one year.  The role is for 32.5 hours per week 08:30 – 15:30.

Kingsnorth CE Primary School is an exciting and vibrant place to learn and develop.

We are situated next to the church in the heart of Kingsnorth village, south of Ashford. We are a large 2 form entry school with 420 children on roll. We have strong links with the local Church and Community. Our supportive Governing Body and active PFA play key roles in school life.

We have a strong wraparound care provision in our Breakfast Club and After School Club, both run in house to ensure that children are familiar with the adults supporting them from 8am to 6pm.
