Welcome to Brabourne, a successful, happy, rural school where enthusiastic pupils make wonderful progress throughout their time with us. Our vision is to inspire all of our pupils within a broad and balanced curriculum, making children excited about coming to school.

We are a caring and nurturing Church of England school, where the whole community feels like one big family and colleagues offer a strong network of support for each other. With specialist music, language and PE teachers, our class teachers are well supported in delivering a varied curriculum and can also take advantage of our idyllic location with inspirational outdoor learning opportunities.

We are looking for a part-time (3 day a week) KS2 maternity cover teacher for our Year 3/4 class from September 2025 with an envisaged maternity end date of April 2026. Our ideal candidate would be passionate about learning, creative in their approach and encourage our children to become successful, self-motivated, happy and confident learners through engaging lessons.

For the successful candidate we can offer:

  • An excellent learning environment with children who are eager to learn (97% say they love learning in our latest pupil survey)
  • A well-resourced classroom (with the latest technology and up-to-date learning resources)
  • Friendly, supportive colleagues and a close-knit team where your ideas can make a real difference
  •  A supportive school community (100% of parents would recommend our school based on our latest parental survey)
  • Enthusiastic and well-behaved children
  • A stunning location with extensive access to an outdoor environment and the North Downs ·
  • The chance to personalise the curriculum, be creative in your teaching and be supported to try out new ideas

As well as being an excellent and enthusiastic teacher, we would also ideally look for someone able to assist in the English Subject Leader role, or another subject area.

Please look at the person specification to see if you are the one we’re looking for. A visit to the school is essential as part of the recruitment process; come and meet the children and the staff and find out why it’s a pleasure to teach here and why we are so proud of our school.

If you would like to have an informal visit, please contact Mrs Parry 01303 813276.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children and any offer of employment is subject to satisfactory enhanced DBS check
