We are seeking a practical, organised and enthusiastic Design & Technology Technician to join our dedicated team at Leigh Academy Rainham from September 2025.
 
This is a hands-on, student-facing role that’s central to the smooth running of our thriving Design and Technology department. You’ll work closely with teaching staff to prepare and maintain tools, equipment and materials for practical lessons, and help create a safe, well-organised and inspiring learning environment.

This is a permanent opportunity, working 37 hours per week, Term Time + 1 week inset with an actual salary of £20,990 - £22,431 per annum (£24,404 - £26,079 full-time equivalent), based on experience. Working hours are 8.00am - 4.00pm, with an earlier finish of 3.30pm on Wednesdays.

About Leigh Academy Rainham: In September 2021, we opened our doors to the 180 founding students of our co educational comprehensive school for 11-18 year olds. Already oversubscribed, our new school is firmly set to be a beacon of excellence for secondary education in Medway.
