Join Our Team: Sports Coach (30 hours per week)
Ramsgate Arts Primary School

Are you an enthusiastic and caring individual with a passion for sports? Would you like to be part of a dynamic and creative school team, inspiring children to stay active, confident, and healthy? If so, this could be the perfect role for you!

Ramsgate Arts Primary School is seeking a Sports Coach to support and deliver engaging PE and dance sessions to children from Reception to Year 6. You'll work closely with our PE Leader and be an integral part of a team that values physical activity as a key component of every child's education.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting and delivering a variety of sports and active play sessions

  • Working with the PE Leader to plan and lead inspiring lessons

  • Encouraging physical confidence, teamwork, and enjoyment in movement

  • Ensuring pupil wellbeing and safety in line with school policies

  • Helping to create a positive, energetic, and inclusive learning environment

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience coaching or teaching sport

  • Experience working with primary-aged children

  • Excellent behaviour management and interpersonal skills

  • A belief in the value of physical education in child development

  • Willingness to learn and engage in ongoing training

  • A high level of enthusiasm, initiative, and a can-do attitude

What We Offer:

  • A supportive and welcoming team

  • An inspiring leadership team committed to putting children first

  • Energetic, enthusiastic children who love to learn and play

  • Support and development through the Viking Academy Trust sports network

  • A unique opportunity to work in a school that embraces creativity and innovation

Contract:

  • Permanent contract

  • 30 hours per week, term time only

  • This role involves outdoor work throughout the year, so a readiness to work in all weather conditions is essential.

While school-based experience is not essential, a genuine love for working with children is. We’re looking for someone who puts the needs of pupils first and understands the importance of educating the whole child—physically, socially, and emotionally.
