Chevening (St Botolph’s) CEP School are seeking to recruit Midday Meal Supervisors to support our children’s lunchtimes. Our lunch arrangements are staggered between 12-1.30pm each day; the timings for this role would be agreed with the successful candidate between 12-1.30pm.

Working pattern: Monday to Friday; 1 hour per day; 5 hours per week; term time only

Start date 01.09.25. 

Kent Range KSA £24,513 (fte) and reduced pro-rata for the hours/weeks worked.

We are looking for some who is friendly, supportive, and committed to helping to ensure the safety and well-being of our pupils in the hall, classrooms, playground and field. Lunchtime provides everyone with an opportunity to step out of class-based learning and structures and is important for connection with others and for learning skills of independence and personal development.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Supervising and assisting pupils throughout their lunchtime to ensure their well-being and safety.
  • Supporting pupils in the dining hall with eating, drinking, and personal care needs.
  • Engaging pupils in inclusive and safe play activities during lunch breaks.
  • Working collaboratively with staff to provide a positive lunchtime experience.

Previous midday supervision experience is not essential but some experience of working in a role involving play, care and engagement with children would be useful.
