Luddenham School are looking for a great SEN teacher who is exciting, enthusiastic about learning and can share our philosophy where 'Every Child Can Achieve'.

We are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable and experienced SENCO who engages learners and will join our team of fantastic teachers on our journey to excellence. 

This will be a part-time role (0.4) where days of work can be agreed with the right candidate and may be subject to flexi hours to fit around Communities of Schools Meetings and professional visits to school.

This is a key role focused on inclusion and ensuring that all pupils - especially those with additional needs- receive the tailored support they deserve.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • leading and coordinating the school's SEN provision
  • managing and revieiwing EHCPs and statutory processes
  • advising and supporting staff with inclusive teaching strategies
  • collaborating with families and external professionals
  • overseeing provision for children in receipt of pupil premium funding as well as post LAC and LAC pupils
  • monitoring and evaluating the impact of interventions and the effective use of funding
  • can train staff in SEN developments

We are looking for someone who:

  • holds the National Award for SEN Coordination (or is currently completing it)
  • has strong knowledge of SEND legislation and effective inclusive practice
  • brings experience working with primary-aged children
  • communicates confidently and sensitively with pupils, staff, and families
  • is organised, reflective, and passionate about equit in education
