Maternity Cover Full time teacher needed from September 2025 on a years fixed term contract to work in Lenny's Den - our communication and Interaction hub (please note this is not an SRP).

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated teacher to join our Craylearning community for the next academic year. The successful candidate will work with a small group of children with additional needs, with particular focus on communication and Interaction. You will join 2 members of support staff in leading the class. The hub has been running for two years and has all appropriate resources in place across two rooms, one of which being a sensory room, and an outdoor space. The hub supports a range of ages from EYFS to Year 2. The children all have an EHCP, or are currently going through the Statutory Assessment process.

We are looking for a teacher who has had experience of working with children with significant Communication and Interaction difficulties, many of which have ASD or are on the pathway, and have varying levels of verbal communication. Experience in using Widgit, visual timetables, Communication/phrase boards, PECS and Little Wandle would be a great advantage.

The candidate should be approachable by pupils, staff and parents/carers and value the school's ethos of 'happy together, safe together, learning together'.

If you want to join our fun and supportive school team, you should be hardworking, friendly, with a good sense of humour and always have the children's needs at the forefront of all that you do...does this sound like you?

We can offer you happy, lively children who are keen to learn, a close school community, CPD opportunities, a supportive leadership team, fantastic support staff, supportive parents/carers and a school where everyone looks out for each other! We are also fortunate enough to have extensive grounds which are ideal for outdoor learning.
