Does this describe you?

Then Herne Infants is the school for you!

We are looking for a fantastic teacher to join our vibrant team for our full time maternity cover.  We will make sure you feel part of our community and will give you opportunities for nurture and growth with the support and guidance of our teams.

This position is suitable for those with experience and ECTs.  Being a three form entry school you would have the benefit of PPA with your two year group colleagues to plan together and feel well supported.  We have not specified a year group as this will depend on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.

We have a fantastic team of fun, passionate and energetic staff whose drive and focus is on all children knowing their worth, reaching their potential and enjoying their childhood.  Laughter, support, kindness and good relationships are key attributes to our successful school and happy staff.

Our Early Years ethos and Christian values underpin our way of working.  Our staff ensure children feel loved and valued, they understand the importance of early years development and the need to learn through exploration and play.  Does this sound like your philosophy too?  Please call the office to arrange a tour and see this in action.

We are looking to recruit a teacher who is:

  • Inspirational with an imaginative approach to all aspects of teaching and learning
  • Dedicated to excellence, inclusion and raising standards and has high expectations

  • Organised with good interpersonal skills
  • Able to foster and maintain positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parent/carers
  • Adept at teaching an exciting and relevant curriculum
  • Engage in professional dialogue, monitoring and mentoring with a variety of colleagues
