Balfour Juniors are looking for a full time Teaching Assistant, to support a child with an EHCP on a 1:1 basis in Year 6. The position will be on a fixed-term contract from September 2025 until July 2026.

 

We are seeking a highly talented, caring and motivated member of staff to join our friendly and supportive team. We offer an inclusive environment, friendly and enthusiastic children who have a love of learning, and excellent CPD opportunities.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working with pupils with SEN in a school setting
  • Patience, empathy, and a desire to support the pupil’s progress
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and parents

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalised support to a student with SEN, both in and out of the classroom
  • Assist in implementing an individualised learning plan
  • Foster a positive and supportive relationship with the pupil, promoting their social and emotional development
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to the pupil's education
