Are you a passionate KS2 teacher looking to bring your expertise to a unique and inspiring environment? Snowfields Academy, part of Leigh Academies Trust, is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join our Bearsted campus—a secondary SEN setting where we adopt a primary-style teaching model to better meet the needs of our students.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a highly supportive environment where you can make a meaningful impact on the education and development of students with special educational needs.

The Role:

  • Teach a class of secondary-age students following a KS2-style curriculum model to provide continuity and stability in their learning experience.
  • Deliver a broad curriculum tailored to meet the needs of students with SEN, focusing on engagement, progress, and personal development.
  • Collaborate with the wider teaching team to ensure high-quality teaching and learning across the academy.
  • Flexibly contribute to other subject areas, based on your expertise to further inspire and challenge our students.

About You:
We’re looking for an experienced KS2 primary teacher with a passion for SEN education.

You’ll be:

  • Skilled in adapting teaching methods to suit a range of learning needs and styles.
  • Flexible and creative, willing to embrace a varied timetable and collaborate on innovative solutions for our students.
  • Committed to fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.

Please be aware that it is not required for candidates to hold a specific SEN qualification in order to be considered for this role.

In return, our successful candidates will receive:

  • The opportunity to help shape our future by joining a LAT academy
  • A school community committed to nurturing young people with ASD alongside raising achievement and attainment
  • A stunning environment with modern building, excellent resources and facilities, purpose built for students with ASD
  • A strong commitment to support professional development opportunities
  • A supportive Governing Body and Leadership Team dedicated to exceptional outcomes within a happy environment which nurtures and supports all staff and students

This is a permanent opportunity offering MPS/UPS commensurate with experience + SEN Allowance. For those interested in visiting the academy, please contact Amy Wenban (Recruitment Advisor) on amy.wenban@latrust.org.uk in the first instance.
