Role Responsibilities:

As a Class Teacher:

  • Teaching: Plan and teach well-structured lessons to assigned classes, following the school’s curriculum and schemes of work.
  • Assessment: Assess, monitor, record, and report on the learning needs, progress, and achievements of assigned pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment.
  • Adaptation: Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils, setting high expectations that inspire and challenge them.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement the school’s policies, practises, and procedures, supporting our vision and values.

As a Year Group Leader (for the right candidate):

  • Leadership: Lead and manage the year group team, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across all classes.
  • Curriculum Development: Oversee the development and implementation of the curriculum for the year group, ensuring it is inclusive and ambitious.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor pupil progress and attainment within the year group, using data to inform teaching practises and interventions.
  • Support and Mentorship: Provide support and mentorship to fellow teachers within the year group, fostering a culture of professional development and collaboration.
  • Communication: Act as a liaison between the year group and senior leadership, ensuring effective communication and alignment with school goals.
