Information about the school

Kingsnorth CE Primary School is an exciting and vibrant place to learn and develop.

We were judged as outstanding in our SIAMS (June 2018). In our recent OFSTED as a ‘Good School’ (April 2024).

We have also recently been awarded the Wellbeing, Leading Parent Partnership Awards, while maintaining our accredited flagship Quality Inclusion status.

We are also one of 34 English Hub school’s across the country, sharing good practice in teaching phonics in other educational establishments.

We are an active and leading school within Aquila (The Diocese of Canterbury Academies Trust - http://www.aquilatrust.co.uk). We work in strong partnership with other schools across Ashford, South Kent and beyond, providing support and learning opportunities for our staff.

As mentioned, we are proud of our Flagship Inclusion Quality Mark Status, our love of reading and work on Writing for Pleasure. All of which support our children to access the curriculum, not matter their needs and allows them to let their imaginations run wild while excited to learn.

We have successfully achieved both the Wellbeing and Leading Parent Partnership Awards and are in the process of achieving Nurture UK and OPaL (Outdoor Play and Learning) accreditations to again support children in all areas of their education.

We are situated next to the church in the heart of Kingsnorth village, south of Ashford. We are a large 2 form entry school with 420 children on roll. We have strong links with the local Church and Community. Our supportive Governing Body and active PFA play key roles in school life.

We have a strong wraparound care provision in our Breakfast Club and After School Club, both run in house to ensure that children are familiar with the adults supporting them from 8am to 6pm.

Kingsnorth CE Primary School is committed to safeguarding children and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all trustees, staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced Criminal Record Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service along with other relevant employment checks, including overseas criminal background checks, where applicable. All new trustees, employees and volunteers will be required to undertake safeguarding training on induction which will be regularly updated in line with statutory guidance.
