At Archbishop Courtenay Primary School, we care about our staff and their workload. We offer a range of options to make life a little easier, ensuring that you can focus on what you do best—teaching. We value Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and are committed to providing career conversations that will help you develop your practice and move up the career ladder if you desire.

If you are an experienced teacher, we can offer you the opportunity to lead a core subject or spearhead key priorities within our school. Your expertise will play a vital role in shaping the educational experiences of our pupils and contributing to our inclusive approach.

For those who are Early Career Teachers (ECTs), we provide excellent mentoring and professional support, both within our school and across the Trust. Our mentoring programme is designed to help you navigate your early years in teaching with confidence, ensuring you receive the guidance and resources necessary for your professional growth.

Additionally, we encourage all our staff to engage in research-based initiatives, allowing you to explore innovative teaching methods and contribute to the continuous improvement of our educational practises. We believe that fostering a culture of inquiry and evidence-based practice is essential for both personal and professional development.

Our children are delightful, and our parents are supportive, creating a positive and collaborative environment for everyone involved.

Why not get in touch and come and have a conversation with the Headteacher, Sue Heather? Let’s see what we can offer you and how you can contribute to our vibrant school community. Join us, and let’s embark on this journey together!
