We are looking to appoint an excellent class teacher from September 2025

We would ideally like a full time teacher, but we are happy to condsider a part time position for the right candidate.

We are looking for someone who has a passion for supporting children to flourish and be the best that they can be, with relational approaches at the centre of their practice. 

The ideal candidate will also:

  • Have high expectations of themselves and their pupils, with a track record of accelerating the progress of children
  • Have an engaging teaching style that inspires all types of learners and fosters independence and confidence
  • Be a reflective teacher with strong teaching practice.
  • Have excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Have experience of working with a range of SEND, particularly Autism/ADHD and SEMH needs.
  • Be kind and caring and will embrace the school’s approaches to learning.

The Federation of Goodnestone and Nonington comprises of two small Church of England Primary Schools in neighbouring villages. Both schools retain their unique identities, under the leadership of one Governing Body and one Headteacher.

Nonington CE Primary School is a small rural primary school, close to Aylesham. The school has recently had a brand new 2 classroom extension. We benefit from extensive grounds in the quiet of the countryside which enables our children to experience learning opportunities in a wonderful, natural environment. The school has a small roll of 58 pupils, currently organised into three classes. We are proud of our inclusive culture and work hard to nurture and support all of those in our school community. Goodnestone CE Primary School is situated in a beautiful rural setting, with access to a fantastic woodland area which is used to support the children's learning. The school has a small roll of 55 pupils which is currently organised into four classes. We have a range of pupils with SEN and staff who are well placed to meet their needs. the inclusive ethos of the school ensures that all are nurtured and cared for.
