The role of Clerk is varied, but the most important aspect is to organise meetings of the governing body, prepare the documents and take the minutes. In addition, after suitable training or experience, the clerk advises governors to work within the appropriate laws and regulations.

Training and support is provided. We are looking for someone who has good administration and IT skills, is organised and efficient.

There are no fixed hours, but the Clerk is expected to attend all meetings of the governing body and to be able to respond to issues as and when they arise, approximately 10 - 12 hours per month. There are 3 meetings per year (one per seasonal term ), which are held from 5-7pm. There are also occasional formal panels and meetings which need proficient administration.

Our Governing Body are a highly skilled, supportive and lovely group, who will welcome and support you.

The work is paid by the hour, with a starting salary of £24,040 - £28,850 fte, dependant on qualifications and experience.
