Tymberwood Academy is a thriving two form entry school, with Nursery, which serves the community of Gravesend in Kent. It is a real ‘hidden gem’ as behind its small, unassuming entrance in a residential road, lies our large school site with expansive & attractive grounds.

What we are looking for in our next Headteacher:

We are seeking an outstanding senior leader with the passion, drive, and enthusiasm to build on our strengths. You will lead, motivate, develop, and inspire a team of staff and governors who are committed to providing pupils with a wide range of enriching experiences. 

You will have a clear understanding of what it takes for a school to maintain the highest standards of teaching and learning, whilst having the expertise to embed a culture of continuous improvement. Additionally, you will demonstrate the ability to manage, prioritise, and organise your workload, show flexibility and resilience, and recognise the need for pastoral care for all members of the school community.

You will be committed to providing every child with an exceptional educational offer, ensuring they are supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential.

We are a mainstream primary academy (REAch2) with a Physical Disability Specialist Resource Provision - this means have pupils who are physically disabled that are taught within mainstream classes. Not only are we able to enhance their learning, but they support the inclusive and empathetic atmosphere we have built at Tymberwood.

We joined the REAch2 Academy Trust in February 2014 and enjoy being a part of a supportive and collaborative trust.
