St Gregory's Catholic Primary School are looking to recruit a  HR & Admissions Officer who is able to multitask in a busy primary school situated in Margate.  This is an exciting and fulfilling role for someone who is a 'people person'. You will be reporting to the Area Business Manager.

Previous experience of working within a school environment is desirable, but not essential.  You will need a 'can do' attitude, as well as be organised, reliable, able to prioritise work and follow instructions.  This role requires a good level of knowledge and ability in using IT, specifically Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, Teams), and ideally our management information system, SIMS.  You should be able to demonstrate your understanding, knowledge and prior experience within these areas.

This is a term time only job, 5 days a week working Monday – Friday.  The hours for the position are from 8.30am until 12.00noon, although other patterns could be considered for the right candidate.

If you have any questions about the role or would like to submit an application form, please email our Area Business Manager, Jack Devine, jdevine@kcsp.org.uk

St Gregory's is part of the Kent Catholic Schools Partnership (KCSP).  The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Any offer of employment is subject to our Safeguarding checks, including satisfactory return of an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service, two references, online/social media checks and a pre-employment health history questionnaire.

Join us in making a difference to the lives of our students. We look forward to receiving your application.

Information about the school

St Gregory’s is a mixed-form-entry primary school in Margate with 300 pupils and large outdoor areas. We are a Catholic school but welcome both Catholic and non-Catholic families.

St Gregory's is part of the Kent Catholic Schools’ Partnership (KCSP), a Multi-Academy Trust that believes in providing excellent pastoral care, promoting traditional values and supporting staff to achieve the very best for pupils. KCSP also has a strong CPD programme, competitive rates of pay and opportunities to work across the schools in the Trust to further career aspirations.

The school has recently been through both a successful Ofsted (Feb 2025) and Catholic Schools Inspection (CSI), achieving ‘Good’ judgements in both and an Outstanding rating in Personal Development (Ofsted) and Catholic Life and Mission (CSI).

Inspectors describe a school where ‘Pupils are polite and courteous. Corridors ring with the friendly greetings they offer each other and adults. Pupils’ positive conduct is evident in the purposeful classrooms. Pupils, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds do well because the expectations of what they can achieve are high.’

The school is now increasingly popular with parents and already oversubscribed for next year. With new homes being built all around us as well, this is an exciting time to be a part of our school community.

Children here are incredibly welcoming and loving and fully commit to our values of Friendship; Forgiveness, Perseverance, Truthfulness and Thankfulness. We actively look to promote Catholic values and expect our staff to do the same, whether they are Catholic or non-Catholic.
