We seek a flexible Teaching Assistant to join our hardworking, committed team. We are looking for someone to join our team. Could this be you? This unique role will be based in KS2 for 2 days and 1 day in EYFS, plus extra if available.

We need an individual with proven experience and training to support pupils with additional needs. Their role will be crucial in facilitating the learning of basic skills, speech and language interventions, motor skills interventions, and more. An understanding of effective strategies for assisting children with SEN, such as Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia, would be highly beneficial. You can expect to work flexibly, aiding pupils with SEN in one-on-one settings and small groups to access the curriculum and undertake interventions both within the classroom and across the year group.

Are you flexible and experienced in running interventions? Do you think you're patient and have a good understanding of the needs of pupils with SEN? Is the well-being of children a priority in your approach to learning support? If so, we would welcome your application.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare, and an employment offer will be subject to a satisfactory DBS check.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Have relevant qualifications or experience.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent standard in English and Maths.
  • Be a strong communicator who enjoys building relationships with children, parents and carers.
  • Supporting the 'child first, pupil second' ethos underpins our school.
  • Be a good team player, flexible and prepared to use their initiative.
  • Be committed to their professional development.
  • Be someone who enjoys working with children and is fun to work with!
  • Be imaginative, creative, energetic and prepared to work outside, whatever the weather!

The hours will be all day: 08:30 to 15:15, Monday, Tuesday and Friday. There will be a 15-minute break and 30 minutes for lunch.

Additional hours will occasionally be available if you would like to cover absences for colleagues who are absent on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Please note: We may call you for an interview upon receipt of your application.
