Advert

Welcome to Brabourne CEP School, a successful, happy, rural school where enthusiastic pupils make great progress throughout their time with us. Our vision is to inspire all of our pupils within a broad and balanced curriculum, making children excited about coming to school.

We are a caring and nurturing Church of England school, where the whole community feels like one big family and colleagues offer a strong network of support for each other. With specialist music, language, Adventuorus Outdoor Learning and PE teachers, our class teachers are well supported in delivering a varied curriculum and can also take advantage of our idyllic location with inspirational outdoor learning opportunities.

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a four day a week KS1 teacher for our Year 1/2 class from September 2025. Our ideal candidate would be passionate about learning, creative in their approach and would encourage our children to become successful, self-motivated, happy and confident learners.

For part of our week, we employ a continuous provision model of teaching. Prior experience of teaching Contimuous Provision, or willingness to develop knowledge of this style of teaching, would be an advantage.

For the successful candidate we can offer:

  • An excellent learning environment with children who are eager to learn (97% say they love learning in our pupil survey)
  • A well-resourced classroom (with the latest technology and up-to-date learning resources)
  • Friendly, supportive colleagues and a close-knit team where your ideas can make a real difference
  • A leadership team that will support your professional development every step of the way, helping you develop your career aims and aspirations
  •  A supportive school community (100% of parents would recommend our school based on our latest parental survey)
  • Enthusiastic and well-behaved children (our current year 6 children are all expected to perform well above national averages in all subjects). ·
  • A stunning location with extensive access to an outdoor environment and the North Downs ·
  • The chance to personalise the curriculum, be creative in your teaching and be supported to try out new ideas

As well as being an excellent and enthusiastic teacher, we would also look for someone able to take on responsibility for a subject such as English.

Please look at the person specification to see if you are the one we’re looking for. We recommend you come and visit the school; meet the children and staff and find out why it’s a pleasure to teach here and why we are so proud of our school.

ECTs and more experienced teachers are welcome to apply. A visit to the school is essential, as part of the recrutiment process. If you would like to have an informal visit, please contact Mrs Parry 01303 813276 or email office@brabourne.kent.sch.uk.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children and any offer of employment is subject to satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
