Advert

Brenzett Primary School is a thriving and ambitious school where, in the words of our recent Ofsted inspection, pupils are blossoming academically and emotionally.

We are looking to appoint a full-time outstanding practitioner to teach our Year 1/2 Class in the afternoons, releasing our Assistant Head and SENCO for management time. You will be working together to plan and deliver an exciting curriculum, with much of the resourcing and planning already in place.

This is an exciting teaching position which will allow experience working in both KS1 and KS2, as there will be opportunities to work with small Maths and English groups in the mornings as well as to provide cover for PPA and Subject Release time.

Our vision is for all of our children to flourish, both academically and personally, and we need somebody who has the passion, determination and skills to bring the very best out in our pupils. We strive to make every child feel safe, have the confidence and resilience to learn from their mistakes and to overcome difficulties with increasing independence.

As a school, we actively encourage professional development. Being part of a network of schools – connected through the Aquila Trust – we have lots of scope for our employees to learn, thrive and reach their full potential, including NPQ qualifications.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Is aspirational and inspirational
  • Has high expectations of themselves and the children
  • Has a commitment to raising standards and achievement
  • Is a keen learner, who is reflective and is committed to improving their practise
  • Is passionate, shows initiative and is willing to go above and beyond for the sake of our children and school
  • Is an experienced teacher looking for their next challenge (MPS3 desirable)
  • Is an enthusiastic subject leader
  • Contributes to wider school life, and understands the importance of being part of a wider school community
  • Is able to bring joy to their classroom, their school team and the wider school community
  • Is a team player with good communication skills

If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!

In return we will offer you:

  • The opportunity to help shape our future by joining our proactive staff team
  • A school community committed to raising achievement and attainment
  • Happy, well behaved children who are eager to learn, enjoy and are proud of their school
  • A stunning environment with a spacious building, large school grounds and its own forest school area
  • A strong commitment to supporting professional development opportunities
  • A welcoming, friendly, highly motivated, talented and dedicated staff team
  • A very supportive governing body, local church, parent body and PTFA

Visits to the school can be arranged by contacting the head teacher Mrs Rowan Wright by email on office@brenzett.kent.sch.uk or by contacting the office on 01797-344335

We reserve the right to interview candidates upon receipt of application during the advertisement window. Candidates are therefore encouraged to apply at their earliest convenience.

Brenzett CE Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Therefore, all appointments are made subject to an enhanced DBS Check, Occupational Health Check and satisfactory references.
