Cleaner

Kent Range 3 (£23,337 full time equivalent). Actual salary - £2157.73

7.5 hours per week - Term time only (plus 15 hours for deep cleans)

1.5 hours per evening (4.30-6pm is preferable but this could be negotiated).

We are looking for an honest and reliable person to join our small and dedicated team. This is a lone-working role so initiative and self-motivation are essential qualities.

The school is small and there are only 4 classes which would be cleaned on a rota basis. Duties would involve: dusting, vacuuming, mopping, emptying bins, cleaning corridors and cleaning toilets and all related duties. There may also be some key-holder duties.

We recognise this role may supplement income for someone who has other employment. We are therefore happy to provide some flexibility with regard to the timings. Due to the limited hours offered, this role may suit someone in the local community.

Lydden and River Primary Schools Federation are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020 and therefore is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure. In line with KCSIE guidance, paragraph 220, all candidates who are shortlisted will be subject to an online search. This search is not part of the shortlisting process itself and all shortlisted candidates will have the opportunity to address any issues of concern resulting from the search.

Two references are also required prior to commencement of employment.

Early applications are encouraged and Lydden Primary School reserves the right to close the vacancy if a suitable candidate is found.
