Science Technician

Immediate Start

We require a passionate and capable Science Technician to support the teaching and learning in the Science Faculty.  The successful applicant will be responsible for the overall administration, organisation and provision of equipment and will assist and support the students in class where appropriate. 

You need to be able to demonstrate good technical and interpersonal skills, and a liking for and sensitivity to young people.  You will be well organised and have a good knowledge of scientific terminology and equipment.

Knowledge of health and safety and basic First Aid would be an advantage, but we will provide training if necessary.

35 hours per week Term Time Only

Information about the school

Ashford School is an independent, coeducational, day and boarding school for children from 0-18, founded in 1898. There are nearly 1000 students in the whole School, divided equally between the Senior School (11-18) and the Prep School and Nurseries (0-11). At full capacity there are 170 boarders in the Senior School, mostly from overseas, cared for by a number of resident teachers and support staff; 20 nationalities are represented.
