We are seeking to appoint a Site Manager to join our premises team.  

Are you a practical person with the skills to undertake various maintenance jobs around the school including painting and decorating, moving furniture, minor repairs and general DIY?  The ideal candidate will be an important part of the school community, ensuring the smooth operation of maintaining the site, including all aspects of statutory premises compliance.  The successful candidate will manage the duties of, and work closely with the Assistant Caretaker.

Applications are welcome from those able to mult-ask in a very busy school environment where two days are never the same.

Previous experience of working within a school environment is desirable, but not essential.

An understanding of Health and Safety is required.  Training will be provided

The role is a permanent position for 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, 10.30am – 6.30pm Monday to Thursday and 11.00am – 6.30pm on Fridays (half hour lunch included). We would consider a role with less hours, should any applicants wish to apply with this in mind, please mention this in your application. 

We do require someone who is prepared to work flexible hours to cover various after school events throughout the year, overtime is payable.  There will also be a requirement to be on the alarm call out list and to respond to out of hours call outs.

Wentworth Primary School (Acad) is situated near Dartford Heath and is close to the border with the London Borough of Bexley. The School serves its local community in Dartford and Crayford. It is very popular and is regularly oversubscribed, our current pupil role is over 650 pupils. The School is very well resourced in all areas and benefits from ample grounds including our own playing fields. The atmosphere is happy and supportive with an effective team spirit. The Governors and Senior Management offer guaranteed support and CPD opportunities for professional development. We have an Ofsted grading of Good.
