Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and making a real difference in their lives? Leigh Academy Minster is excited to announce a fantastic new opportunity for a highly skilled SEN Assistant to join our team and work alongside our experienced SENCO.

In this role, you will be instrumental in helping to deliver tailored interventions for our students, with a specific focus on those with ASD, ADHD, Speech and Language needs, and emotional regulation challenges. If you have the experience and skills to create and deliver a variety of interventions in these areas, we want to hear from you.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in creating and delivering a variety of interventions such as speech and language therapy, emotional regulation strategies, and other specialist approaches to support students with SEN needs.
  • Experience in secondary education, with a strong understanding of working with students with special educational needs.
  • Extensive expertise in a specialist area of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and Speech and Language therapy, is essential.
  • Ability to support students in both individual and group settings, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • A compassionate and patient approach with the ability to adapt strategies to meet the diverse needs of our students.

This is a permanent position working 37 hours per week, term time + 1 week of inset and offers an actual salary of £21,716 - £23,706 per annum (£25,248 - £27,562 full-time equivalent), based on experience.
