Due to the growth of our amazing school, we are looking for an enthusuastic, hard-working and approachable teacher to join our wonderful team.

The successful candidate will need to:

  • Continuously meet at least the minimum standards outlined in the DfE’s ‘Teachers’ Standards’.
  • Comply with school policies and procedures, in particular those relating to child protection and safeguarding.
  • Attend staff meetings, INSET days, parents’ evenings, parent consultation meetings, and any other functions or meetings required.
  • Take responsibility as a subject leader (subject to be negotiated)
  • Take responsibility for completing CPD and keeping up to date with developments relating to subject matter/ classroom practice.
  • Establish effective working relationships with colleagues and set a good example through a high level of professionalism.
  • Participate in any performance-related appraisal arrangements made by the school.

Information about the school

St Nicholas CEVC Primary school is an expanding one form entry, Church of England school, opening as a through primary in September 2024 and we have been growing ever since. We are situated in the centre of Strood, and have fantastic links with St Nicholas Church which is used throughout the year for worships and celebrations. We also use our location to enhance the children’s curriculum, such as walks to Rochester and the local parks.
